The TPS 2555 provides the flexibility to service both narrow and wide bodied aircraft from B737 to B777 / B787 and B747 and A320 to A340 / A380.
The passenger stairs are constructed with a fixed lower stairway and telescopic upper section mounted on a welded steel chassis-frame with Ackerman steering for maximum stability when maneuvering. The step treads and top-platform walking area are surfaced with grip faced aluminium tread plate to provide an extremely stable passengers stair in all weathers.
This modern boarding stair is robust yet readily maneuverable, saving time and effort when manually maneuvering the steps, to and away from the aircraft. Sliding top platform side panels with hand operated spring bolts are fitted to both sides of the top platform to facilitate opening the aircraft doors with the steps fully interfaced with the fuselage.
A spring loaded rubber buffered pivoting nose section is fitted at the leading edge of the top-platform to interface with fuselage contours. The standard unit has tubular/sheet steel side-panels with extrusion trimmed handrails fitted to both sides of the stair flight. Full solid-sheet steel panels with D-Rubber buffers to the leading edge are fitted to the upper platform.
In its powered configurations the stair can be fitted with auto speed control and stop sensors to provide additional aircraft protection.
As standard the chassis-frame is finished in a black powder coat. All other sections are painted in a single corporate colour top-coat. High visibility markings are applied to front/rear chassis corners and sides of tow-bar.
